Hello Splinterlands Community!
Hope everyone is doing great.
Who does not love gifts! It brings joy to everyone irrespective of one's age.
And if the gift comes as a surprise, the joy and happiness is doubled.
I have been playing Splinterlands since November 2021 and it hurts every time I come across players from the community who joined early. It feels like, we, who joined late has missed out badly and the game keeps rewarding the older players.
To be honest, the players who has joined early should be rewarded as they are the one's who has supported the game at a time we did not hear about this wonderful game and believed in the game too. And in a way they helped it develop to become a bigger and better game for us new players.
Anyways, lets come back to the surprise gift. So, most of the player base has spent a fortune on Chaos Legion packs. But being a player with limited funds to spare, I spent what I could and bought myself 50 Chaos Legion pack at the start of General Sale with no high expectations. I mostly bought them to hold the packs until the end of SPS airdrops.
But over the course of time I could not resist myself once the juicy alchemy and legendary potions stacked up and opened up 11 packs so far. Let's not get into the cards I got from the packs today since we are already diverting away from our topic.

So, I got up this morning logged in to Splinterlands with the notification of the Airdrop being available and I was like
meh, not gonna happen with my 50 packs
And look what happened!
This was the airdrop with the worst odd (525 packs purchases guarantees 1 card) and the game rewarded me with this gift, a sweet surprise gift indeed!
