Confession

For those who argue my standard of open confession. I want to point something out to you if the story of Adam and eve where not documented in the bible how would you have traced your ancestors to Adam and eve. Another way to look at confession if the stories in the bible where not documented tell me where will learn God's wisdom from history are documented to study pattern that are analysed to extra wisdom that will be used to make a decision.
This is why you must make you own history account to pick the wisdom God dropped for you in the pattern and use it for final decision and destination. This why confession is a sacrament in catholic church a part of the holyspirit for judgement. all have sinned including Jesus and holyspirit who are brought out of sin to righteousness for the purpose of salvation acknowledging there sins pay the price and move forward if the Gods can admit to there sins who are you humans to claim righteousness.
