Microsoft has released an update for Windows, which caused the complete disconnection of computers based on AMD processors, writes The Verge.
The update related to the security of the operating system, and should have covered the vulnerabilities of Meltdown and Specter. However, the patch caused massive problems, after which the distribution of the update was suspended.
"Microsoft received complaints from the owners of AMD chips that their computers will not turn on after the security update of the Windows operating system," the company representative said.
In a malfunction, representatives of the corporation blame AMD.
It is known that the vulnerability Meltdown allows you to read any computer memory. At the same time, Specter allows hackers to receive information from applications using a gap in isolation.
