I did this hike in Mt. Tallac in Desolation Wilderness near Lake Tahoe. I reached the summit but was promptly caught by a passing thunderstorm.
I didn't want to be stuck up there without shelter so I raced down. The thunderstorm passed soon enough and as I looked back, I saw this rainbow.
