Is it a coincidence that Steemit shares the same green that tsu used to use?
When I am posting dogs on a social network I invariably find myself influenced by the platform and it is reflected in my dogs. Whilst I have yet to draw a true Steemit inspired dog, (I am still trying to get my head around the ridiculously long password) I have no doubt that if Steemit proves itself to be the droid I am looking for then many dogs will follow, but for now I thought I would share some of the TSU and Facebook inspired dogs I previously drew.
Gotta love a social network that pays you for your posts. I did love TSU. Let's hope I can fall in love with Steemit too. So far the signs are good. Although that green does bother me. It's not an easy colour to mix and I often struggled matching my watercolours to the TSU green. I suspect I will have the same problem now I am on Steemit. Let's just say, I was more than happy when TSU changed it's colour to purple. Take note Steemit management. Purple is my favourite colour so anytime you want to ditch the green and go purple is fine by me.
And whilst I am addressing Steemit management it is worth posting this picture inspired by Katsushika Hokusai's 'The Wave off Great Kanagawa'. (I know I posted this picture yesterday but I also deleted it so here it is again). I drew this in the TSU colours, complete with a dog surfing the wave and presented it to Sebastian Sobczak the founder of TSU when I met him in London. Who knows what I will draw for the Steemit founders @dantheman
@ned if I find I am love with their platform! ;)
However enough about TSU, let's not forget Facebook, the original home of A Dog A Day. I posted my first ever dog on the 13th Jun 2011 and the rest is history. Whilst this is not the first dog I ever drew, it was the first Facebook influenced dog. It is also, out of the thousands of dogs I have drawn one of my favourites and one of only a few that I have hanging on the wall in my home.
My dogs can be found on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/idrawdogs/ and let's not forget Twitter https://twitter.com/idrawdogs
Well that is enough for today. I really do live in hope that Steemit will become a great home for my dogs and that we all make lots and lots of money, green money. Mwahahahahahaha!
Whilst most of my sales are dealt with by my agent, if you see a particular dog you like then don't hesitate to contact me. All artwork (unless otherwise specified) is sold at a flat rate of £100 (British Pounds). The art is signed and mounted in a coloured matt and placed in a cellophane wrapper for protection. All artwork includes free worldwide shipping.
Whilst I am no longer taking on commissions, I will occasionally agree to redraw a dog in a different colour. Just ask.
