Social media likes to highlight people who get them early but rarely highlight those who get them later.

It’s not really social media that prefers to do this: it’s the fact that those who get them early tend to tell their stories more, so of course, the higher volume of early bloomer stories like that against fewer of the non-traditional success stories makes it more likely that it might seem like social media is selective or bias in the highlights.
