I genuinely think that Hive is a one of a kind social platform. Take away the monetary aspect and it can still hold its own very well against all the mainstream socials. We have a community that is stubbornly resilient, love being here, and like connecting with each other.
As for the inactivity, I think what matters is that people still come back even in tumultuous periods like this. For those people who Hive is not just a social platform but also a way to earn, it makes sense they’d turn more attention to other things to make ends meet. As much as they love posting and being here, their reality might force them to reckon with shifting priorities. But still reading and keeping in touch with the community in my opinion is a good way to demonstrate commitment and presence.
