ITA - La produzione artistica dei fotoamatori nelle ultime settimane ha subito una brusca riduzione a causa della temuta pandemia e della necessità di evitare gli spostamenti per scongiurare il contagio.

Oltre che correggere e rielaborare le vecchie fotografie o riordinare il proprio archivio, un altro modo per continuare a dedicarsi alla propria attività preferita, ma senza “andare in giro”, consiste nell'improvvisare un particolarissimo reportage non degli ambienti domestici o degli oggetti presenti in casa, bensì di tutte quelle immagini che risultano visibili dalla nostra abitazione e che, in qualche modo, suscitano la nostra curiosità.

L'impossibilità di uscire per dedicarsi alla street-photography non impedisce ai fotografi di praticare una sorta di “indagine sui balconi”.

Probabilmente il risultato non sarà un prodotto artistico di alta qualità, ma non è quello lo scopo delle “foto da casa”. In queste settimane in cui, per il bene di tutti, è necessario rimanere a casa, il vero intento di coloro che decideranno di realizzare un progetto fotografico dalle finestre, dai terrazzi e dai cortili deve essere quello di contribuire a rappresentare l'atmosfera di una delle stagioni più buie per la creatività, le relazioni sociali e la fantasia degli italiani (e non solo).

La consapevolezza di essere un comunicatore deve indurre ogni fotografo a testimoniare, attraverso i propri scatti, lo sconforto, l'impotenza o l'esasperazione di un momento drammatico che speriamo diventi presto un brutto ricordo, ma che certamente lascerà una traccia indelebile nella Storia.

The awareness of being a communicator must induce every photographer to testify, through their shots, the dismay, the helplessness or the exasperation of a dramatic moment that we hope will soon become a bad memory, but that will certainly leave an indelible trace in history.
