Sometimes certain images taken with a camera take us back in time and seem to belong to an era in which there were no color photographs or digital techniques. I remember that a chemical treatment called toning allowed you to give your prints the shades of nineteenth-century photographs. Today, with the computer, simple functions are enough to obtain the same result.

A volte certe immagini realizzate attraverso una fotocamera ci riportano indietro nel tempo e sembrano appartenere ad un'epoca in cui non esistevano fotografie a colori o tecniche digitali. Ricordo che un trattamento chimico chiamato viraggio permetteva di conferire alle proprie stampe le tonalità delle fotografie dell'Ottocento. Oggi con il computer bastano delle semplici funzioni per ottenere il medesimo risultato.
