Ok, I do these power rankings because they are fun! Totally my opinion. It's SUPER INSANELY early in the season, but hey, I have last season as reference, off-season moves, and one week of action to consider.
32.New York Jets - I mean, it's the Jets, ya know? Zach Wilson out for the time being as well...
31.Jacksonville Jaguars - Trevor Lawrence has been meh so far in his career, just a pretty dysfunctional team as of now.
30.Houston Texans - I like their QB Davis Mills. Had they managed to win, and not tie the Colts they could be slightly higher.
29.Carolina Panthers - Baker and the Panthers competed somewhat admirably. Still a lot of work to do overall.
28.Atlanta Falcons - Nearly beat a solid team in the Saints. Decent coach, decent QB.
27.Chicago Bears - Beat the 49ers with Lance, so that's a so-so win. Justin Fields is growing on me.
26.Seattle Seahawks - Fun, respectable win last night. Geno is playing inspired ball, even last season he was not that bad, I got a decent feeling about him.
25.Detroit Lions - Goff is actually a respectable QB. I like the vibes in Detroit.
The Scrappy Tier
24.Cleveland Browns - Scrappy team.
23.New York Giants - Escaped Nashville with a win, Saquon is healthy.
22.San Francisco 49ers - Not that high on Lance, I feel like they are using and abusing Deebo Samuel a bit too much. They need to show me something, just don't have a great vibe with this team.
21.Dallas Cowboys - Could be lower, but the Cowboys will stick around a bit.
20.Washington Commanders - They looked pretty efficient in Week 1. They have three solid receivers and a decent tight end. Chase Young is still there...
19.Indianapolis Colts - Competitive, well coached. Great running back in Jonathan Taylor.
18. New England Patriots - Perhaps a bit generous. Still were a playoff time, still have Bill Belichick.
17. Denver Broncos - Mysterious team. Starting to wonder is Russ is that guy anymore...
Likely Playoff Teams Tier
16. Miami Dolphins - Played well this week, surprisingly.
15. Philadelphia Eagles - This team is a bit raw, but will be a handful for anyone.
14. Pittsburgh Steelers - Always competitive, playoff team last year, upset the Bengals this week.
12. New Orleans Saints - I liked how they competed this week. Michael Thomas is back folks...
11. Arizona Cardinals - Trending down. Got stomped this week. Since November/December of last year they've looked sus...
10. Baltimore Ravens - Always a problem to play.
9. Tennessee Titans - Yeah, they lost to the Giants barely, almost won. Still were the number one seed in the AFC last season.
Championship Hopefuls
8. Los Angeles Chargers - Need to see SLIGHTLY more from Herbert, still a really good team.
7. Minnesota Vikings - Probably a generous ranking. I just like how they're built. Justin Jefferson is a problem. No major weakness.
6. Green Bay Packers - Trending downwards for sure. They gotta figure out how to play without Davante Adams.
5. Cincinnati Bengals - Ever so slightly trending downwards. Terrible game vs the Steelers.
4. Los Angeles Rams - Trending downwards a bit. Bad loss, but to a great Bills team.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Tom Brady.
2. Kansas City Chiefs - Some people doubt Mahomes, and I don't get why. This team can beat anyone.
1. Buffalo Bills - I get the sense Josh Allen may have leveled up after that playoff loss to the Chiefs last year. That team is scary.
Which team am I dead wrong about? Comment away!!!
