WOW this is a big signing man. Where do I even begin???
I never thought I'd see the day that star WR DeAndre Hopkins would become a Titan, yet here we are. Hopkins signs a two-year deal worth $26 million. With incentives the deal can be worth $32 million.

Once upon a time, DeAndre Hopkins was a member of the Houston Texans and this man would terrorize and abuse the Titans twice a year. I must say, to this day, I bet only the AFC South truly knows how devastating Hopkins can be. The NFC West saw him but only for an equivalent of two seasons.
Now, Hopkins is back in the AFC South, this time in two-tone blue! I'm willing to bet that Hopkins is salivating at the thought of facing his old team in the Texans since their not so warm farewell in early 2020 I believe.
Hopkins and Titans' HC Mike Vrabel have always had nice things to say about each other since they were both in Houston together five years or so ago.
I'm not going to lie, I am suuuuuuuper excited that the Titans are signing a big name at WR. I just hope DeAndre actually manages to perform. Unlike other recent free agent signings like Julio Jones, Jadeveon Clowney, even Bud Dupree....
DeAndre is 31, and has not played a full season since 2020. I mean, that's not great if I'm being honest, I don't really care what the reason was. I know it's the NFL and rarely a player ever plays 100 percent of their career but still. It makes me a smidge nervous. Other than that, I don't have much concern. This is a great addition to the team!!
The Titans defense looks overall pretty strong. Of course I could nitpick, but the REAL question marks on the team appear on offense, no doubt about it. But I feel this signing helps in a BIG way.
I know it's so easy to write off and dismiss Tannehill, but man, the dude can play QB when healthy. I know A.J. Brown is a beast and would likely succeed with a lot of QBs, but Tannehill did help A.J. succeed too. Proves that he can certainly get the ball to DeAndre. I've heard Malik Willis is actually making big improvements and I haven't heard anything awful about Will Levis either.
Derrick Henry is still gonna be that dude. Rookie Tyjae Spears has been doing well in camp from what I've heard. Hassan Haskins is basically Derrick Henry lite version. Pretty good there!
Now, let's see how Hopkins makes the receiving corps look a bit more shiny.
I mean, it's amazing how one good signing can make a position group look way better. In theory, these receivers could be more productive than when the Titans had A.J. Brown and Corey Davis in 2019/20. I mean WOW. If DeAndre can be DeAndre and Treylon improves like he reportedly is, SHEESH!!! Treylon already had a pretty solid rookie year last season....
NWI is a steady, gritty guy and can block well. Chris Moore is a dude that has improved late in his career, and Kyle Philips was looking like a GOAT until he got injured early last season.
Chig looked like an untapped lethal weapon as a rookie, and Josh Whyle looked really smooth in college.
Of course the absolutely vile o-line must improve in 2023, and they have patched it up a bit. If the offensive ball carriers as a whole can be better, that will certainly help the o-line.
The 2023 season just got a lot more interesting, I'll tell you that. This might bring the Titans to LIFE baby. SHEESH. DeAndre is a dawg!!!!
