Jim Norton is an absolute LEGEND of a player. He started at two different positions throughout his nine year career. He was both the Oilers starting punter and starting safety from 1960-1968.
Where to even begin with a player like Jim? He has 522 punts on his record as well as 45 interceptions! Crazy! He had a career high 9 interceptions in one season in 1961.
Norton won 2 consecutive AFL Championships with the Oilers in 1960 and 1961. He's a 3x AFL All-Star and 3x All-AFL, he's in the Oilers Ring of Honor and his number 43 has been retired by the franchise.
The guy is freaking Oilers royalty! He played his entire career with the Oilers. 125 games, 92 starts.
Norton passed away in 2007. I'm an idiot for not knowing about this Mr. Norton already. He was a beast.
Another game from the vault. Madden 23 will not be forgotten! LOL!
