Titans legendary running back Eddie George really was a childhood hero of mine. I know I've said that about George many times. As a young child, before I even fully grasped what football was, I looked up to this guy through sport.
The way Eddie George ran really just inspired me to even play sports. I would copy his playstyle as a kid and just try to run people over. I had varying success LOL.
Eddie ran with such ferocity and effort, it makes you want to get up and like, accomplish something in real life. That's why athletics are great to watch. Sports can be art at times, and you can take those sort of lessons and convert it or translate it into everyday life.
With George, it was not just because of his run style by itself that was inspiring, but it was his awesome consistency and his positive attitude that really made him a star.
George was a Houston Oiler, a Tennessee Oiler, and a Tennessee Titan from 1996-2003 and the man NEVER MISSED A START! In seven out of those eight seasons George had 1,000 yards rushing.
George went to four consecutive Pro Bowls with the franchise was an All-Pro twice and was a big part of the Titans reaching the Super Bowl during the 1999 season.
George is the franchise leading rusher and only player to eclipse 10,000 yards all while with the franchise.
To this day George is friendly with the organization and is universally loved by Titans fans.
George is a core part of my childhood, and I'll forever be a huge fan.
Wish I could have recorded Eddie from the video games back in the day. I still could with Ultimate team which is something I guess.
One of the final Madden games I've ever recorded!
