For the life of me, I could not tell you what the heck a PKK card is. I googled it and well, I guess they're mostly a card supply company or something. I'll say this though, the picture quality is really outstanding for an older card. I also love the mini baseball picture in the corner. A real classy card for sure.
Ken Griffey is another MEGA star of pro baseball, heck of pro sports, that I saw the second half of their career when they were still solid players, but not what they once were.
Looking at Griffey's stats it's actually quite comical. I was alive/conscious for two of Griffey's thirteen All-Star seasons! I know Griffey as a Red, more than a Mariner.
But Griffey's career was indeed made in the 90's when Griffey was bigger than baseball, he was a legit household name. He was kind of the MJ of baseball except without the championships I guess?
Every kid wanted to be Ken Griffey Jr. He was a power hitter with a seemingly innocuous, yet iconic stance. He had one of the coolest, smoothest swings ever. Griffey once hit 56 homeruns in two CONSECUTIVE seasons from 1997-1998. That's nuts. In his prime, Griffey was also an outstanding fielder.
Griffey played in 22 seasons before retiring after the 2010 season. His 630 homeruns places him 7th All-Time in MLB history. He was the MVP in 1997, a 13x All-Star, and 10x Gold Glove award winner.
