WHAT DO WE MEAN BY CRIME;
When we say crime it can simply be an action which constitutes an offence and is punishable by law i.e act punishable by law.
WHAT COULD BE THE POSSIBLE REASONS WHY YOUTHS COMMITS CRIME?;
• choice
• poor family upbringing
• exposure to bad environment
CHOCE:
When I say choice I mean people doing things because they just feel like or they enjoy doing it.
Different people different choices it depends on how much risk one is willing to take and how people feel about a particular thing just because it’s right or wrong does not stop people from doing it we are different in nature some people might commit crime just because it’s their choice which I’m not in anyway support of that. let’s take a look at rape cases can we say the economy or peer pressure will make a man rape a woman? NO; because it’s a thing of choice we think in different directions as an individual we have our reasons on why we do things and we cannot control each other’s minds it’s not possible so choice is one if the reason for crime too.
POOR FAMILY UPBRINGING:
This can actually be a reason for crime too because some of our youths today lacks parental guidance the way we bring up our children matters a lot in their life, we inculcating in them good characters, morals, norms and values makes them understand the reasons why they shouldn’t do wrong and also help them while growing.
Most of the parents barely have time to take care of their children which is actually part of what’s causing them commit crimes.
EXPOSURE TO BAD ENVIRONMENT:
Environment can also be a major factor in committing crimes because I believe every crime committed is learnt.
Living in an environment where there’s high crime rate could possibly CURRUPT the mind of an innocent man or woman and might make them take interest in it.
WHAT I THINK ABOUT CRIME
Most youth of our age commits crime and gives excuses by pouring the blame on The economy or the current situation of the country or community they find themselves
Even most youth looks for and opportunity to commit crime for instance a mall on fire some youth have an interior motive to help turn off the fire while some wants to use that advantage to loot and steal what’s available in the mall at that point that’s definitely an act of greed and lack of contentment.
Some of the youths gives excuses of peer pressure not knowing what their problem actually is. I will actually see the problem as lack of contentment because there’s no pressure that would make you put your hands in fire intentionally, youths shouldn’t give excuses for crime that’s totally wrong we know things might not be definitely wright in the country and I’m not saying there are no situations that could make them want to commit a crime I know well that there can be pressure sometimes, people loose their job staying idle having nothing to do might also make them think In the directions they couldn’t even imagine. Historical research made us know that as people who loose their jobs increases so as there will be increase in crime rate too but it’s definitely not worth it, we all know that even if the country is in a good shape and everything seems fine there is possibility that youths will still commit crime it’s a thing of commitment some youths make choices to commit crime for no reason for this I’ll say crime cannot be completely erased in the world of today because we can’t change people either forcefully or by petting them we can just reduce the rate at which crimes are been committed in the society or the world at large.
THE POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO REDUCE CRIME;
• High security standards
• job employment
• right parental guidance

I believe that when the security of every country is high it reduce crime rate because that automatically instills fear in the heart of people who have the intention of committing one crime or the or their and it will compel them to stay indoors and be carful in all that they do.
Job employment:
Increase in employment rate will indulge the youths of today and get them busy, by that they will be able to earn something and live comfortably that would make them get to work and stop been idle because idleness plus poverty could lead to dirty thoughts.
Right parental guidance:
Teaching a child moral,norms, and value will be best to guide and also enable them to be conscious of whatsoever they are doing and help them do right.
The Bible says teach a child in the way he should go and when he grows old he will never depart from it .
