Are you carrying within you unhealed wounds and unresolved issues, so you vent your anger at anybody who gets in your way. Parents, you can break your child's spirit by emphasizing what they do wrong rather than what they did right. Below are core reasons why people prefer to be a critic rather than be a cheerleader?
SELF-IMPORTANCE.
If we have achieved a certain level of success, we assume" we know best". When we ARF ready to teach, people are not ready to learn. Remember the old adage"A man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still".
Allow the holy spirit to instruct you to be teachable.
GIFTS
Our talents are very unique to us given to us by grace. We always except everyone else to come up to our level, and we put them down when they don't. But we always tend to forget that "Except God build the house the labour in vain that build it" (Psalm 127:1 KJV).
EARLIEST EXPERIENCE
Moulded by the attitudes of our caregivers. Nurturing in us coping mechanism both Negative and Positive. Some of our parents believe in this notion that praise would hurt us and criticism would yelp us grow.
Let us remember that "Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good words makes it glad (Proverbs 12:25 NKJV).
