I love books, I am collecting them and I am slowly but surely building my little private library.
However, since I am massively using Internet, I am not reading books that much as I used to. Does anyone have the same problem?
I can spent hours, days and nights by browsing on Internet, reading tons of interesting articles about anything you can imagine. But I hardly have time to sit down and read book. Except of Harry Potter. I always have time and mood for Harry Potter books.
But sometimes I watch something interesting on TV, something based on book and it is so interesting that I have to purchase one. Like recently I watched amazing TV drama called The Handmaid's Tale. It is a novel written by Margaret Atwood and it is about totalitarian regime that treats women women like property of state. There is almost zero birth rate, therefore the very few fertilite women are forced to be handmaids. Their only purpose is to serve their masters, breed and repopulate world.
It is great reminder that the world as we know now can always disappear, nothing is guaranteed.
