It is entertaining and there are people getting entertained. That's the market AI slop caters. It asks for attention and people pay to give it attention and it works. As much as it is a sad reality how it's an abomination to most forms of creativity, AI slop is an emerging form of another self expression by classifying AI as a tool. It made the skills inaccessible to artists become accessible without going through interpersonal hoops but it came with a cost. I don't agree with what's happening but I can understand why.
