I think repairs take 1 or 2 generations but the difficulty level is much higher in the succeeding gens because inflation. Not really advocating the growing old alone lifestyle but you may as well entertain your options now. We got a saying in the PH where you not only marry your partner but their family as well (including their problems). Now compound that if they got their own set of generational backlogs to take care of.
