This really makes a lot of sense if we ever want to drive more organic traffic. The problem we have right now is that most of the user base aren't trained to write with SEO in mind. It needs more time restructuring a post that may or may not get traction. And people are less likely motivated when there is uncertainty that they can labor on a post for hours and end up with their usual returns.

I think another layer of incentive may work for users that produce that kind of content for the platform. I was planning to make a post about how content creators might be losing out on rewards even if they make the best content for the site. It's not about curation but the window period where authors could monetize their works. The 7 day payout limit I mean.

We see other platforms able to monetize their works beyond 7 days from site traffic but on this blockchain, it's not really a welcomed idea to repost (without putting more content onto the original idea). A content creator on youtube can upload their video and still be able to monetize their content over the course of years as long as ads are running on it. But we don't have that on Hive.

I know there are a lot of good evergreen posts out there that have passed the 7 day payout and buried (if not archived properly) from the frontend. Topics like explaining what is Hive, Leo, and how to survive this blockchain. Content creators are missing out on the rewards they could have gained if they posted somewhere else if their old posts are gaining traffic for the site.
