It wasn't a downvote. It was muted. Those are two different things. When you downvote someone (old term was flag), you remove the rewards the post has earned based on how much your stake is on the platform. When your post gets muted by the community you posted it into, it means your post did not qualify or violate some of the community rules which made the mods to mute it. It wasn't downvoted.

Muting only makes your post less visible but never censored. All posts on the blockchain are never censored because one could find a way to see your post even if muted. It may appear censored on the frontend of any site you're using but you can pull up the records on the blockchain and see even muted or downvoted posts can still be found.
