I'm not really the brightest one talking about the subject but this deserves attention given how much disruption it's going to be in the future.

AI can decompile products with protected IP and make their own version of the same product. I saw some posts on X sharing how Adobe products getting their free version. It lacked the 1:1 functionality from the original (nice features and all) but it does produce most of the functions.

It doesn't need to be 1:1 copy, the other version can just be decent or made better than the original.

And I think, wow, that's amazing, now people can get more free stuff now.

But this kills the drive to create good products because there's someone or a group out there that will purposively make a living decompiling new products and create their bootleg versions, perhaps improving on the original product too.

Imagine pouring your heart and soul into building an app only for someone else to decompile the thing and do whatever they want with it.

It's not just simple applications and games the public consumes. Imagine this level of tech applied to military software and cybersecurity? we're entering into new spaces were intellectual property protection hasn't adapted as fast as AI does things.

Imagine using AI to decompiling the Hive funded projects here.

Thanks for your time.
