I will offer my opinion from the perspective of someone who is herself an immigrant. The first thing an immigrant must grasp is the need to respect and learn the culture of the country where they will be living. They must abide by its rules and be willing to adjust their own social and moral standards. However, not everyone has the capacity to understand the new environment and integrate into the new society. If that doesn't happen, they will face significant difficulties in adapting.

There is also the fact that these immigrants come from cultures vastly different from yours—cultures to which they are deeply attached. So, it is necessary to demand respect and insist that they abide by the laws of the country where they reside... because, unfortunately, immigration is here to stay.
