Canada is a huge country. Only Russia is bigger, land wise.
Canada is 9.98 million square kilometres (3.85 million square miles) in size.
With a population of 35,151,728 it is less than the State of California. Canada is a sparsely populated country.
We extend from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and North to the Arctic Ocean and beyond with the most coastline of all countries. It is a huge country with an unimaginable wealth of resources.
We have agriculture, mining, forestry, fishing, oil and gas. We have world class scientific and technology research institutions.
We have had 13 Nobel laureates in physics, chemistry, and medicine, and was ranked fourth worldwide for scientific research quality in 2012. You can thank Canada for polio vaccines, insulin, AM radio, Basketball, Standard Time, Canola, the Snowmobile, Poutine, Nanaimo Bars, Ginger Ale, Walkie - Talkies, the Prosthetic Hand, the Snow Blower, the Fog Horn, Sonar, Imax (co-invented by Roman Kroitor), Instant Replay, Trivial Pursuit, Lacrosse, Hockey, the Electron Microscope, Pacemaker, the Wonderbra (you're welcome ladies), alkaline batteries, Plexiglas, Peanut butter, Java programming language, the Telephone, and the list could go on and on. We were also the third nation to launch a satellite.
Not bad for a country with such a small population!
Yes, Canada was set to take the world by storm and then a few events happened that started our decline from a world leader into the mediocre country we are today.
In 1959 the government of Canada scrapped the incredible Avro Arrow. The Arrow was an all weather supersonic fighter that could fly almost twice the speed of sound and had a ceiling of about 50,000 feet. It was probably one of the most advanced fighter aircraft on the planet at the time it was cancelled.
Because of the cancellation Canada lost much of its aviation leadership and industry and most of the engineers later helped NASA put a man on the moon. The brains behind the Arrow went south.
Skipping ahead to the 1970's
Multiculturalism was conceived and implemented by the Pierre Trudeau's Liberal government.
Canada had always been a multicultural society since the beginning of confederation and even before 1876.
A policy of multiculturalism was officially adopted by the Government of Canada under Pierre Trudeau during the 1970s and 1980s. The Canadian federal government has been described as the instigator of multiculturalism as an ideology because of its public emphasis on the social importance of immigration. The 1960s Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism is often referred to as the origin of modern political awareness of multiculturalism.

Although the concept of a multicultural society sounds like a good thing for countries to adopt, its implementation actually divided Canada into separate cultural societies within the country. Instead of Canada being the diverse unified country of the past and the one I grew up in, we became a fractured country where each culture was interested in their own betterment and advancement.
According to a study conducted by The University of Victoria, many Canadians do not feel a strong sense of belonging to Canada, or cannot integrate themselves into society as a result of ethnic enclaves. Many immigrants to Canada choose to live in ethnic enclaves because it can be much easier than fitting in with mainstream Canadian culture.

The politics and policies of now.
I am not sure when it happened, perhaps sometime in the new millennia, but the entire thought process of Canadian politics started to change. Equality of Outcome, Gender Identity, the Agenda of Islam, the backlash against Christianity and Judaism and Environmentalism, are but a few of the things leading to our further downfall as a nation.
In 2015 the Liberals once again took power and grabbed the reigns of the country. Lead by an incompetent leader, Justin Trudeau, who has hardly any education and only got elected because of his name, is now leading Canada down the path of ruin. He is not an original thinker. He just regurgitates the ideas of his advisors and people like George Soros.
He is a virtue signaler that cannot look at the long term implications of his governments actions.

His environmental policies have ruined a lot of major corporations and many are leaving for greener pastures.
Coal, the most energy efficient power source, in terms of price and its abundance, is now the enemy of the state.
Canada has some of the cleanest coal fired power plants in the world with world class technologies that we should be selling to other countries, but no. It has cost taxpayers billions of dollars to shut down all coal production and coal fired power plants across Canada. He has piled so many regulations on the oil industry that pipelines cannot be built.
He has raised taxes to the point where there is no middle class, there is just the rich and the rest of us.
His spending of tax dollars is totally out of control. He has given other countries billions of dollars that we, the tax payers, are going to be on the hook for, years after his last selfie is taken, yet he cannot afford to support the military and our veterans, the homeless and the less fortunate.
His governments policy on immigration is a disaster. His publicity stunt to bring in 40,000 Syrian refugees in just over a month, most of which are not from Syria at all, has led to thousands of people that he has now abandoned, unable to speak the language and mostly unemployed and collecting welfare. No fault of theirs!
Then, in his tweet about Canada accepting anyone from the US, has caused people to illegally walk across the US - Canada border and claim refugee status, costing taxpayers untold billions to look after these criminals.
Even though our immigration system is taxed to the limit doesn't seem to signal the government that perhaps we should slow down this mass immigration and the tax dollars being spent.
I could go on and on. But one thing is very clear, Justin Trudeau does not care about the people that live in this country. He is too busy trying to impress the world what a wonderful guy he is.
I have never seen a picture of Trudeau in a Christian church, yet I have seen hundreds of pictures of him in mosques, praying and making speeches. Is he interested in Islam? No. He is just looking for potential voters that can keep him in power and the reason for his immigration policies. There are tens of thousands of Christians being oppressed around the world, many by Muslims, yet they have very little hope of ever coming to Canada as refugees. It is very one sided.
I could go on and on. I could talk about M103, the anti islamophobia motion, produced by Iqra Khalid, a Muslim who is basically a clerk. Or about letting prisoners chose their gender identity and which prison (men's or women's) they want to be put it. Or the fact that Trudeaus cabinet is half women and half men with one disabled person to make Trudeau look good. Doesn't matter is they are qualified or not. Or the fact that Trudeau is making Canada look ridiculous and incompetent on the world stage.
Yes, Canada. The country I have called home and been proud of since I was 9 years old is going down the tubes!
This government has failed in a miserable way. This once proud country, that was a world innovator and leader, is in shambles and has become the laughing stock of the world.
