Proteccionistas, animalistas, amantes de los animales, fundaciones y asociaciones, entre otros, que amamos, recatamos, damos cobijo a los animales en condicion de calle, ya sea porque nacieron en la calle o porque los abandonaron los maltrataron en fin , dependemos mucho de las donaciones que puedan llegar a nosotros ya sea en metálico o en especie. Esta publicación vino a mi mente ya que hoy recibí una donación y en unión de otro amigo que también de inclina por ayudar a los animales, compramos un saco de alimento para gatos, el cual dividiremos entre los dos.
Tengo aproximadamente 4 años desde que realmente asumí que no solo amo a los animales sino que también me gusta y disfruto, ayudarles si pasan, hambre, frío, sed, no tienen un techo que los resguarde de la lluvia o sol inclemente. En fin, ayudarlo a recuperar su salud si no están bien del todo y conseguír para ellos un hogar, donde verdaderamente sean amados por todo lo que les resta de vida.
Una de los aspectos que debemos afrontar los que asumímos esta tarea son el costo de los servicios veterinario, el hospedaje y los precios actuales de los alimentos para ellos.
En mi caso particular tengo 7 gatos bajo el mismo techo y uno que viene a buscar su alimento dos veces al día. En algun momento solo fueron dos y era más fácil cubrir su alimentación para mí, pero a raíz de la llegada de Cristopher, todo cambio su caso fue tan fuerte, debido a las condiciones tan terribles de salud en las que se encontraba, que recurri a las redes sociales, para poder cubrir todos los gastos de sus visitas al médico, entre otros gastos, ya que de mi bolsillo hubiera sido imposible.
Aquí el tema que intento dar a conocer es que sin apoyo externo, las ayudas dadas a cada caso, a cada animalito, serían sólo meras ilusiones, las consultas médicas veterinarias en Venezuela oscilan entré 20 y 30 dólares, solo la consulta, si se realiza alguna radiografía, ecosonograma, hematología, química sanguínea, entré otros , cada uno tiene un costo adicional, así que imaginen cada vez que se rescata o se da cobijo a un animal; lo lógico o mejor dicho el protocolo deberia ser llevarlo al veterinario para un chequeo médico y conocer su verdadero estado de salud. Sin incluir los medicamentos que puedan recetarle para cada caso.
Ahora bien, la alimentación de varías boquitas también requiere un esfuerzo económico, un saco de alimento pata gatos de 18 kilos o 38 libras está desde 45 dólares en adelante, para algunos no parecerá mucho, pero si son varías las bocas para alimentar allí es donde viene la complicado . Porque al alimentarse dos veces al día, esos 18 kilos se agotan rápidamente.
Hasta ahora gracias a la bondad de un ejército de gente bondadosa a las que no conozco personalmente en la mayoría de los casos, está manada a mi cargo a podio comer dos veces al día. Ya sea porque me dan donativos en metálico, de los cuales yo responsablemente debo rendir cuentas, o en especie en ocasiones me donan hígados de pollo, sardinas, patas de pollo, verduras, sacos de alimentos para gatos, en fin, tantas otras cosas, que los que hemos decidido dedicarnos, en todo o en parte a esto lo agradecemos profundamente, la razón yo puedo comprender que un día tal vez no desayune porque no tengo dinero o porque no depositaron mi salario a la hora, pero ellos solo saben que tienen hambre y demandan a esa persona que siempre llena sus platos el alimento que llene sus pancitas y créanme es terrible cuando no hay nada para darles.
No quiero decirte que es tu obligación donar para la causa animal, solo te pido que tengas presente todas estás situaciónes, además de otras que pudieran venir a tu mente y si está dentro de tus posibilidades apoyes de la manera que tú consideres más adecuada, así sea difundiendo un caso en las redes sociales, puede llegar al conocimiento de alguien que tiene un medicamento y puede donarlo o de un veterinario que tiene la posiblidad de operar a menor costó y así tantas otras cosas.

Here the issue I am trying to make known is that without external support, the help given to each case, to each animal, would be just mere illusions, veterinary medical consultations in Venezuela range between 20 and 30 dollars, just the consultation, if any x-ray, ultrasound, hematology, blood chemistry, among others, each has an additional cost, so imagine every time you rescue or shelter an animal; the logical or rather the protocol should be to take him to the vet for a medical checkup and know their true state of health. I do not want to tell you that it is your obligation to donate to the animal cause, I just ask you to keep in mind all these situations, plus others that may come to your mind and if it is within your means to support in the way you consider most appropriate, whether it is spreading a case in social networks, it may come to the knowledge of someone who has a drug and can donate it or a veterinarian who has the possibility to operate at lower cost and so many other things.
