Hey all! Maybe later for this old news, but in case someone didn't know, Da Vinci its now available for Windows!
That's right. We finally got to have Da Vinci on PC -though they already developed DV 14 for Mac only :(- its a huge step forward for color correction and color grading for PC users.
I had the chance to try out Da Vinci both on Mac and PC and I can say it works perfectly the same! Some little differences on the user interface but its friendly and easy-to-use functionality plus its multiple tools remain the same -as far as i've worked on it!.
It definately requires a lot of hardware resources for it to work at 100% but I can assure you that a average PC with enough RAM and a average processor -i got an i5 3.0ghz- runs quite decently. You can work with Nodes, create versions and groups, and so on! For the one of you interested on it, you can visit Blackmagic Design website and look for Da Vinci Resolve 12.5 or you can just google it! It's available for free on PC, you have to pay for premium and -of course- more complete version though.
For those interested on getting their hands on it and want to start on this addictive task on color correction and grading as I did back when I couldnt fully have my hands on it I recommend you 100% to try out Da Vinci for PC.
Even though Adobe released Speedgrade for PC and tried it out, didn't make it to know how to even apply color correction which lend me to found that Da Vinci, as i said earlier, has a more friendly and intuitive UI which allows you to quickly get your stuff set up and ready to work. I still got to play more with Speedgrade, though I'll stick to Da Vinci for a while :)
