Acrobats love to get the big air and sticking the next new trick!
It is so amazing what the human body can do. We can get strong and hand stand on another person. We can balance on some one, then flip or twist off. Partner acrobatics is a great way to practice acrobatic moves with a partner.
For everyone that practices partner acrobatics, we know how important our "spotter" is when going for a new move or trick. The spotter is there to help keep everyone safe. They can help guide a person that is falling safely to their feet.
Spotters stand actively close. They are ready to keep everyone safe.
Becoming a good spotter is an art. Knowing how to stand and move around the people performing a skill can be very tricky. Not only do you need to be a like ninja, staying close but out of the way, you have to know the right way to guide someone to the ground if things go awry.
Great communication is the key to successfully and safely "spot" well. When ever practicing with someone we have never worked with, we always want to communicate potential ways the skill can fail, this way we have a game plan for how the skill will be spotted.
The bigger the move, the more important spotting becomes. We always want to keep everyone safe. Sometimes two spotters are required when practicing a new skill.
I actually really enjoy spotting. Over the years of practicing acrobatics, I have learned for the masters about different techniques for safely spotting. It is really a cool feeling being there to smoothly bring some one down to their feet and keep them safe when a trick doesn't stick.
I hope you enjoyed some of my partner acrobatic pictures and some insight on "spotting".
Thanks for all your support!!
STEEM ON!
