I wanted to share with my readers what I have been doing for the last week. If you look at my blog you will notice I have not been able to post, because I have been researching steemit and the block chain. The truth is I got worried just a little bit because I could see a power imbalance within the system. What I learned is that it is balanced buy outside economic forces. Thus far every attempt to peg SBD to 1.00 dollar has failed. I learned that the reason for SBD being higher than the desired 1.00 value is because SBD's are worth what people will pay for them on the market.

I also learned a lot about the power structure of our Witnesses and some really good reasons for steemians to vote for witnesses. You see, the system is to turn your SP into vest and turn those vest into Voting Power for the Witnesses you have voted for. Another thing this is used for is to determine how much SP the Witness gets out of the pool of Steem they produce as miners. So some witnesses are making bank while others are not even covering the cost of running the servers for steemit. This is good and bad, but more on this later.

So at the time of writing this post conversion of my total SP into vest works by multiplying SP by what one SP has in vest.

This vest is added to my Witnesses for voting and determining how much of the Steem mined they receive. There are a lot of other factors, but in general this is how it works. So what this means is that by exercising your vote you give the Witnesses your vote for more influence when they vote. Which if you are voting for the project and tools they are involved in then it is more likely that you will continue getting those projects and tools. Now I am going to tell you something that may surprise some of you. You see inside the steemit world virtual reality the project are being used as an adjustment tool on the algorithms (which are the only rules on steemit) and it is being done in a good way mostly in my opinion. So why should you thank these people. It is the reason I am writing this post. You see all witnesses are part computer scientist, part economist and part politicians. This is not obvious unless you do the research. They also all either work on the internal problems inside the steemit virtual world or they work on the supply and demand side of the steemit block chain and or a bit of both. This is also the balancing point for the whole works.

We need the new products, goods, and services so that the steemit block chain economic advantage is maintained. They produce the new tools like Steemauto, Made by Steem Witness @mahdiyari with Love for Steem Users. This tool is a really important key to spreading the steem all over steemit and you should check it out. If you check this one out you will realize right away how valuable it can be to your own steemit efforts. These are examples of the products, goods and services that are produced by our Witnesses. There are of course many, many others. Like phone apps and so on. These products, goods, and services is why the steemit block chain can compete in the world economic stage. They are also one factor in why steem itself has value.

Then their are the Witnesses and Steemians who are working on the internal problems. The truth is that post also contribute to the value of steem. More importantly each and every steemian is actually adding the value in more than one way. The first way is of course the interaction inside steemit. Up votes, comments, resteems all contribute through the algorithms in distributing the steem for our valuable contribution. There is however another way in which every steemians is contributing just by our very presence. It has to do with those wonderful tools we all use. You see in using those tools we are actually in the economic sense creating the demand side of the supply and demand principal. In actual fact the more steemians demanding those tools drives the value of steem on the block chain. There is the real problem and our real power.

You see the consolidation of steem is creating a scarcity for those who do not have enough vest to draw steem fast enough so that they stay and become that so needed demand. No economic engine designed to spread the wealth of a society is perfect and neither is steemit. So many good writer's who really contribute excellent value in the form of post stay for two maybe three weeks and than leave in frustration. Enter the supper hero's that you should be thanking. @minnowsupport and the Witnesses @aggroed and @ausbitbank are largely responsible for project that are teaching many new writers the system and spreading the curation all over them hoping to keep them here long enough to begin making enough SP to be encouraged to stay and become that very necessary demand for the steemit block chain.

Then you have project that are creating education and spreading the truth like, @markwhittam and @canadian-coconut Founders of Familyprotection, @v4vapid - Founder of Deep Dives Research These projects are the adjustment tools I was talking about earlier. It seems that the Witnesses have decided that if the algorithms are not working perfectly they will make it work anyway. There doing this by creating projects that provide a vehicle for drawing more steem to the SP deprived. Making them not so deprived.

They are doing it by creating project that educate not only on how to write, but on how the steemit system works. Enter Witness @krnel who is doing it with post that provide reason to self examine for the purpose of self improvement. Go to his blog and you will find plenty of food for thought. Plenty of self examination for the purpose of self improvement. There doing it by getting steemians to read and write which is the greatest singly exercise for the mind.

So Why are they doing it? I don't buy the idea that they are just trying to keep the SP for themselves, cause they are spreading it around. I don't buy that it is just a necessary part of the system, though it is. I don't think they are doing it for any of the nefarious reason some of us more skeptical steemians can come up with: cause if you really investigate for yourself, you will find that it is really hard work. Vagabonds, cutthroats and thieves are vagabonds, cutthroats and thieves, to I thought get out of working so hard. So really why are they doing this very hard work of educating and spreading the SP around.

There is the hard straight from the gut to the gut answer. That is that if they do not adjust the algorithms and enough new steemians don't stay to become that demand for the products goods and services then steemit goes extincts. This is true, but why don't they cut and run. Think about this for a minuet. Most of the Witnesses who have been here even for just a year have a lot of SP that is convertible to bitcoin and to fiat currencies. So why don't they just cut and run. Fiat currency is on the way out because of the fraud the world financial system has become. Most fiat is worth about .02 cents regardless of what the printed value is. So converting your steem into fiat in the long run is not really a good idea. That is when it hit me.

Their doing this to try and save the world. Corny huh. Still true. They live in it after all. Their doing this to try to keep the logistics of the supply lines open, so food stay's on the grocery shelves. There doing it to keep the babies in diapers. There doing it to keep the trains, boats, cars, trucks and you name it going. So what really are they doing? It seems to me they are creating an economic system within the crashing fraudulent system. Yeah it is coming down and I say it is about time.

So by now you know I am not worried about the consolidation of SP anymore, though really I am but for a different reason? After thinking this I asked myself the question. You know the question I am writing about? How can I help? How can I be that demand for the supply and demand block chain? Below is my answer to that question.

We can make sure we are using steemit technology in every way possible.
We can write for those adjustment tool projects.

So I only have one more thing to share with my fellow steemians. Remember this "So some witnesses are making bank while others are not even covering the cost of running the servers for steemit. This is good and bad, but more on this later." The system is set up this way to encurage the production of the products goods and services we talked about. Want more votes give steemians reason to vote for you. It is great encouragement for the Witness to be producers and a necessary part of the system. The down side is that some will not be able to continue as witnesses. The up turn is that value of the block chain is maintained.
