As you readers know, I recently homesteaded a planet in the Next Colony role playing adventure, a swirling blue and green marble I call Lucky-1, a Common Atmosphere Planet with no surviving intelligent life.
I hope to change that soon.
This game is in real time. So your children's children, and perhaps a future civilization of artificial intelligence, will have to figure out its purpose. I am grinding for my Explorer Ship skill and I am able to perform about one enhancement every 25 to 28 hours. That comes to about five or six minutes of time per day if I dick around with some math while I am there. This game is slower than a pizza delivery in the dark; slower than The United States Military pulling out of a foreign country.
But I like it this way.
I suppose it will get intense when more planets are discovered and the survivors of the Human Race begin raiding one another's homes, initiating dramatic rage feuds, and then forming blood drenched alliances out of common hatred. We'll see. I plan on being something of a peace-nik, for what it's worth, until my new Gods tell me otherwise.
I like the pace. I've balanced my Adderall with my Ritalin and I am in for the long haul. I expect to play this game for a year before judging.
Thank you.
