One evening...

It's Sunday... and traditionally it's the golden hour photography day!
Not really sure where, when, how or who started it... but it has always been that way...

I actually managed to shoot these sometime last week which was when one of the first 'drama' sunsets, as I like to call them... appeared after we had a long spell with haze and then some rainy days that followed

We are still having lots of rain, afternoons and evenings... so no sunsets after that one evening...

Pretty good for me, as temperatures are cooler.... but some people are getting flooded and traffic after work is bad...

Not sure when the next drama sunset will appear, until then... enjoy this...

I shot these last Sunday and somehow missed posting them
Some of the haze must have been still hanging in the air, causing the sun to be seen as this clear brilliant globe
Most of the sky was dark and gloomy, threatening rain...
And in fact did start drizzle as I shot this sequence of shots
Only this strip where the sun was, it was glowing warm and sunny
Let me show you the rest of the sky...

with the sun dipping lower and lower in the sky...

Almost gone... within minutes

I am always amazed how intense the colours are where 'the action' is...
But the sky above can be so cool and calm...
What a contrast!

Some minutes after the sun is gone...
And things have calmed down...
Cooler, less intense
Seemingly brighter too
Won't be for too long...
We are minutes from nightfall
No post-sunset drama for this evening
The rains came down after this, and I caught some drops on my lens
and needed to edit those out!
