Muted tones of sunset

Silvery grey skies accompanied this March sunset
A late 'bloomer', with the sun hidden most of the evening, until just before it was due to sink beyond the horizon, it made an appearance and was a wonderful globe of gold
Those passing photo-bombing birds add a nice touch to the whole scene,
I must admit... like they were specially ordered to make an appearance...

Nearly 10 mins later, the sun is all gone... a purplish hue of twilight hangs in the air, even though the gold of the evening still lights up the scene
