Yeah, that exactly literally was what it was! 😄
A walk in the park!
We have a small-ish botanical park almost at my doorstep - yup, and I don't often go to it
I know, I know... my bad!
Well, it's because it's too popular! So much so that the "right" hours to go there is always filled with young and old, exercising, zumba-ing, qi-gong-ing, etc etc.
Yes, it is that popular!
Only thing is... my interest there is just to take pictures...
of the plants and flowers... not the people!
Me? Exercise?? Hehe, that's funny!
My reason is I almost never exercise... and my excuse is that what I do/did for work is enough exercise! Ok, ok... that's another story altogether!
Today, we are just looking and shooting!
And this is especially for... @tattoodjay's #WednesdayWalk!
Just as I got in the gate, there were some rows of these, about three foot high plants.... not entirely sure what they were
But the dew/rain drops on them were interesting...
They were close to some bigger trees, hence still retained the moisture of the early morning
I spent some time here, getting whatever effects I thought I could try to capture
~ ~ ✼ ~ ~
As this was an impromptu stop after an early breakfast, I didn't have my camera with me
And my handphone battery was down to its last 5%
No good for photos...
Have no fear, sis' phone is here
Hence today , I'm shooting with a Samsung J6 - sister's phone!
Mimosa!
What we used to call Sensitive plant when we were kids...
I don't know about you, but when I was young (no handphones or computers then), kids used to love touching their leaves and getting them to 'close' or 'shrink'
Yes, that was our idea of fun...
And these pink-purplish balls are its flowers!
I found a patch of these near the plants in the first photo
This little one seemed to be prettily framed by its own leaves
It was getting hot and a little bit late for photos as the light was a tad harsh
Down the path, in a slightly shadier part, I found some jasmine bushes
Some buds here...
They smelled wonderful!
Subtle but fragrant
In fact there were tons of buds!
Then looking into a bush, I found a fully opened flower...
With natural dew drops
Must be dew, they were tiny!
This is no sprayed on droplets... lol!
Many probably regard these as weed...
Someone probably knows what they are called too
Not me!
I just like how exquisite they are
and many will probably just step on them... 😕
Them being just about a foot from the ground...
See... I told you it rained early in the morning or night...
Puddles of rainwater still on the walk paths...
Caught the reflection of some tree tops!
I love new shoots!
Fresh young green shoots...
A little curly whirly... and crinkly
These branches look as if they have been trimmed not too long ago, and the shoots are just appearing...
Cool...
Some parting shots...
The sky!
Wonderful blue skies....
Nothing like fluffy white clouds against a blue sky
And... even better, with tree tops and leaves accessorising sky shots!
Whenever you go anywhere, Wednesday Walks or not,
remember to look up... and at the sky!
Happy Wednesday!!
