On my recent browse through blockchain games I remembered this card game that started out on Kickstarter last year and without much hype it has released and is now playable. On Kickstarter it reached the $250k goal it set out to accomplish and the backing of it is still ongoing if you are interested. On may 2019 it will be fully release with all Kickstarter features but you can already sign up and downlaod the game for PC, MAC, Android and IOS. You can visit their homepage at Loom.games.
Similarly to Gods Unchained it will give players true ownership of their cards and most actions will occur on the blockchain. Loom is an application platform for Ethereum which will allow for better scaling through sidechains and looking at its coinmarketcap rank it could be a good buy in price if it continues its development and we start seeing more games being built on top of it, although there are competitors such as Enjin only a few ranks behind Loom. Not financial advice, etc, etc, but we've seen gaming grow fast and prove to have a great usecase for blockchain even the few games we've seen here on Steem so it is definitely worth to keep an eye on.
As I said there's not a lot of hype around it which is surprising thus it took some time for me to remember it existed in the first place and has already gotten this far in development. I tried the game out and went through the tutorials but buying and opening card packs was still not available. I found this youtube video from uploader CryptoJitsu that takes a first look at the game and I recommend readers interested in it to watch it:
If you want to instead just dive right in then go to this link to download the game: https://loom.games/en/

I am super excited for the next couple years to see what new and innovative games are being released and gaining popularity. If you are also waiting and interested in finding out what already exists out there I would recommend checking out State of the Dapps and filtering through blockchains to find new games that are popping up.
Although Zombie Battlegrounds looked really great I am personally more looking forward to Gods Unchained as I've become more and more familiar with it and am eagerly waiting for a beta key to test the game out. Considering Eth is at one of its lowest prices in the past year I believe it could also be a good investment for long term to hold some cards in case it skyrockets in popularity and starts stealing users from Hearthstone, which in my opinion shouldn't be too hard considering the players spending money on that game are only enriching the company and will never be able to take any value out of it with their collection as even selling accounts is against their Terms of Service. If you've heard about Gods Unchained first time through this post I would appreciate if you used my referral link, thanks and good luck getting the rare cards or 1 of the Mythic Cards which only a couple will exist per season. ;)
Silly centralized companies won't see what hit them as they start becoming obsolete. :)
