I really like what we've managed to build with claude AI lately. Before Claude these things would've probably taken way longer to create an tens of thousands of usd if not more. Probably way more if it was devs outside of Hive or the many who just look to work on things that'll guarantee them a profit.
I'm grateful to the few devs who've kept building things on Hive even if there's no guaranteed rewards, and the very few who's opted into creating things that won't grant them any rewards even when it is finished. They liked the idea and thought it'd do good for Hive so they decided to collaborate on it and build it out. Even though their stake is very small compared to say some witnesses and other stakeholders who won't lift a finger unless their proposal gets funded for this additional work.
I very much hope that when things turn around the platform will recognize these people and reward them in different ways, even if they were never interested in the rewards.
There's a lot of amazing people on here and I understand the world is currently in turmoil, especially the economy. I hope we get to weather this point in time and that things will turn around sooner rather than later and that people who've remained active now keep an eye out to see who is still around, who keeps continue to build and who cares. I'm not trying to make this about me, but I still see a lot of discrepancies, some that can't be changed while some others could potentially if people cared enough to change them. Maybe time will help.
Either way, my morning started off with a lot of work from the get-go. I got some amazing feedback and partial work to implement to our Hive extension from @skiptvads which I'm grateful for. That people are around and care enough to wanna improve and generally help others working on things. I'll send half of the rewards from this post his way as there's little funding to spend at this point in time, especially for nonprofit projects.
Another thing I was thinking of, and this is mostly due to the thought that another project on Hive may be shutting down soon, is if we should implement some kind of abuse/misuse reporting on scrobble.life. The idea would be to protect the submitters identity while at the same time create some kind of leaderboard as we have with our in-house curators and now also with the public curators on scrobble.life/curation. This is to avoid people weaponizing abuse reports or attempting to farm them.
While I haven't wanted to dabble with this kind of activity much in the past and mainly let it be a place where people can report things they notice without any rewards in place, I think it might be a nice thing to do to send them something for their time - if they should to be neutral and have a good track record. The rewards in question may come from the scrobble.life 10% beneficiary community, so it won't be much but it'll be something similar to nomination rewards.
Anyway, got lots of more stuff to do today, just thought I'd make a quick post and see what people think about a report function on scrobble.life for obvious hive abuse/misuse.
