Hey everyone!
First of all thanks to everyone who imported their past reviews on scrobble.life, you can now browse them either through
or
We thought this would be a great usecase to give older posts some more attention as on our regular front-ends they usually get gone and forgotten after payout.
While the contest was fun, we plan on adding all other reviews to the site in a future update as we understand many users are offline/afk now. While all the reviews will be great to be in one place, they are however not very helpful to the site in terms of SEO and adrevenue as they've been originally posted through other front-ends, making their canonical links come from there.
When it comes to book/audibook reviews, they'll be automatically posted to the Hive Book Club community: created/hive-180164
and when you post about anime/manga it'll automatically be posted in the Anime Realm community: created/hive-158489
Both of these communities are incubated in OCD so curators are constantly looking out for new reviews/posts relevant to the niche to curate.
When it comes to Movies & TV, those reviews will be posted in our Scrobble Life community as we've had some trust issued with CineTV and the Movies community in the past: trending/hive-110713
This means that posts written through our front-end do mark them down with our canonical links which is important for when we apply for the adsense program in the future, thus we're asking you to consider posting through our front-end when it comes to posting reviews!
Other than curation, what's in it for you?
Our plans with scrobble.life is to offer users better synergy when it comes to their entertainment history, other than logging and finding them all in one place and being able to see everyone else's history (aside from those who wanna keep it anonymous), we also wanna offer AI agents to users for recommendations based truly on their history alone. Other algo's and websites may corrupt their recommendations based on what advertisers are paying them to promote or what's in the platforms best interest to push to their customers. We're trying to ignore all that and give you truly the best recommendations once AI becomes a lot better and cheaper at these things and our userbase grows to a point where we can offer these services without taking a loss.
We wholeheartedly believe that AI can be an asset in this case, not just for the listeners/users but potentially also for the artists that may have a hard time being heard/seen just because they're not that popular and aren't picked up by record labels/etc. We hope that with AI we can also focus on the smaller artists so they get a chance to be heard/seen by those who may be interested in them based on their history and taste.
Other than our future AI implementations which are currently in testing:
We also wanna focus a bit more on revenue from outside of the hive ecosystem to offer for our users who are posting through us.
We plan on using scrobble.life for many different aspects that involve entertainment and will be continuing to progress with development while trying to develop a few other things at the same time and are eager to listen to feedback and what else users may want added to the website or adjusted.
Anyway, let us know what you think about the site so far and if you've tested the extension yet! Thanks!
