Here's the video, a clip from the popular Rick and Morty series where they're watching "interdimensional channels" or something of the like, basically channels from paralell universes where things in a wide variety are a little different from the world we know. Check your favorite exchange for our tokens we paid to list. Don't even hesitate, don't even worry and don't give it a second thought. web3 is our slogan and blockchain, some times it'll be in the token name.
What are you worried about? buy it quick at the top, sell it quicker at the bottom or just hold the bag forever.
Anyway, all jokes aside, dunno man, it's a little bit tiring. You get a team together for a random half-assed idea, you make sure they have some kind of background in their fields, maybe get someone who has a little clout and you copy a lot of code and create a solution to a problem most people never considered a problem. You then go and attract investors with offers of getting in early or just straight up use exchange ramps for listings while giving them part of your tokens, or give them some of the capital from investors to list your token. Add in some random tokenomics with "slow lock up periods" (as if that matters much) and suddenly you can sell millions of $ worth of tokens monthly for barely having done anything.
It honestly feels like most of these tokens are exactly that and it's ridiculous how many of them exchanges list these days. In a way I can't blame bitcoiners when they call crypto a scam cause most of it quite literally is but in a less direct way than your general crypto bros on twitter. We really don't need that many tokens for each and every little thing, all we need are tokens we know are safe to use and store, can't get blocked or stolen from network operators and have the ability to scale while giving their users and maintainers some issuance. I could literally come up with a solution to most of today's problems that Hive can already solve and that's before we even have proper smart-contracts implemented. Many solutions we could really simply and cost-effectively solve that certain tokens have 10-100x marketcap of just for that particular problem.
Oh well, people will be people, there's a lot of money in advertisement for a reason, huh? Cause for a majority it works. Anyway, didn't mean to be too ranty or anything, it's just a bit annoying at times seeing random shitcoins pop up and first day in they get in the top 100 while they bleed investors dry over the years into irrelevancy. Maybe they'll eventually learn while this planet is still habitable.
Anyway, not trying to be too much of a downer during these market swings xD wasn't really what prompted this post or the initial tweet, just tired of how the name web3 has already seemed to lost all of its meaning and is starting to become kind of a hate thing like nft's have become all over normie web.
