agree with what living said, I guess if a community leader and their curators have gone inactive you can always go back to just posting directly to your blog or in the ocd community which welcomes posts that don't fit anywhere else or I guess in this case if there are no active communities in that niche any longer. Not saying this will guarantee curation but if you want the additional views the subscribers may give you.
