The trisolaris aliens from the three body problem had an interesting concept, their thoughts were basically visible to others so no one could "lie", like they didn't even have the concept of lying until they were made aware of it by human contact. I found that interesting as to how we would've evolved as a species if lying was simply not a thing by default.
