If people wanna curate for free that's fine, it's just that saying "oh the rewards are just being powered up" doesn't mean much, the account still belongs to someone and the author rewards are going to that person in the end.

Many usually share the rewards either with curators/moderators or with the authors being featured, giving out prizes in upvotes when you're making 10-20x what your 10 daily votes are worth per day in author rewards is quite a large difference.

I'm not trying to start any drama, but giving a contestant a 0.09$ upvote while getting $10 in author rewards per post should highlight what I mean. That's over a 100x difference which makes it look like you're profiting off of the contestants rather than rewarding them, though I'm not including potential trails in this equation. I know that's not the goal here and that you've been running this for a long time, etc, but I think asking for delegations to earn more curation rewards would be a better way to fund what you're doing than accepting all author rewards.
