Blocktrades is one of those that are great for quick transactions and there's been times I've been super lucky to see them be up and quick to fix certain issues which has made it really profitable if you knew what to look for. Bittrex has been going down a lot lately for letting you withdraw Hive and HBD, another time this happened was during a pump of (the former fork Steem) but since the exchange I was using was down the price there was dropping hard, but blocktrades allowed me to send Steem to the exchange where it was pumping, then quickly send that to the other exchange through another fast coin in their service and buy over 40% more steem than I initially had.

Being able to purchase delegations to increase your influence on the chain is also a great tool.
