I think that the DEC mooning at the moment is realted to the fact that there are no packs for sale at the moment. Since DEC prices are so high, people hesitate to buy Dice packs on the other hand, holding DEC increases your SPS return. There is a mechanism in place that when DEC prices are over the peg, the number of DEC that is distributed in game is increasing. This being the fact, I believe that we will see DEC prices go south at a later date and when packs can be bought for DEC at a pegged price, DEC will go back to close to 1000 = 1$. But of course that is only my personal opinion ;-)
