Today, I saw a meme that I found very interesting. It was of a guy in a city where a road was under water. He realized that people had a problem to cross the street that was under water without getting wet. So he created a kind of small rolling bridge. He pushed this bridge from one side of the street to the other. People could step on it and he would push them to the other side without them getting wet feet. He had discovered a problem and he found a solution for it. This is in a way the basics for every business enterprise.

Discover a problem and find a solution for it

This made me think about hive. We have a great platform and a lot of people are building stuff. Everybody builds the stuff he thinks people need. Unfortunately, not everything that is built is really useful on hive. That's why I thought it might be interesting to create a wish list of stuff that I would like to have on Hive. My wish list could define the problem for somebody else to find a solution for.

My Hive wish list

I actually had to think quite a lot about things that I would like to be able to do on Hive and that I can't or I don't know how to do. Let's not forget that Hive is a very large ecosystem and maybe somebody has already found a solution for my problem. Then, I would simply be very glad, if somebody could show me the link to it.

Scripts from the shelf

I would love to have a place where I could download secure python scripts that I could use for things I do on Hive. It could be scripts for any kind of actions on hive and hive-engine.

Qr-code generator for easy payments

In Switzerland, we have an app called twint that allows us to make make easy payments and we can use it to purchase stuff online and in shops. It comes with a feature that I really like. It's a Qr-Code that comprehends all the information for payments. I scan the Qr-Code with my phone and my app registers the amount, the destination of the payment and also a memo with the info to the seller. I simply have to click ok and the amount is sent. I'm sure this would be very easy to do on hive as well. Just scan the Qr-code in a shop and I could make a payment with hive. Maybe there would be a desktop version that would allow to click on the Qr-code and transfer the info to keychain. This would make payments so easy. Maybe it would even be possible to select tokens from hive-engine. I would really love this :-)

NFT generator

I know it's possible to create NFT's on tribaldex but I couldn't really find a tutorial how to get started. I would love to find an easy way to generate NFT's.

Website widgets

I would love to be able to integrate Hive features into websites. Imagine a snipped of code that you could paste into your website to include the login function of hive, your posts from hive, some of your hive wallet values for example.

A RC faucet

It would be great if there was a RC faucet on hive. Where people could go and claim free RC for 3 days. They would have to fill a captcha and get some free RC delegated for 3 days for example. This would solve the problem for people who don't have enough RC to interact with the blockchain. Faucets have a problem with bots but since the RC has not really monetary value that people can cash out, I believe there wouldn't be much sense to bot it.

I think there might be more things that I would like to have on hive but I won't make this wish list too long either.

Please share your own Hive wish list. I would be very interested in seeing what people in the ecosystem would like to have!
