I thought that it was a good thing to be loyal and that old customers would always better conditions. I think I was a bit naive lol.

I will start to make this a habit that I put the date of the contract end, or a couple of months before that, in my calendar. Just to be sure that I don't miss on opportunities to save some costs.

Health care costs are a big thing, also here in switzerland. Since it's the second biggest cost factor after my rent, it's the one thing that I always keep a close look at.

Yes, the tricky part is to find to correct timing. Maybe things go on like that for a year or two or maybe next month the trend inverses. That's the hard part about investing :-)

I kinda moved myself out of the technology stocks due to the AI boom That's also my plan. I don't see the circle financing of the big tech companies and the data center explosion as extremely positive.

Often stocks manage to compensate falling currencies but not all the time.

It's good to do DCA into ETF's on a constant basis. Like that you invest independent of market swings and get a predictable return on it.

Kids are definitely a big investment and not necessarily for the monetary return :-)

I used to invest on stocks, but I sold them out when Covid came... I did exactly the same. I sold all my portfolio because I expected a big crash that didn't really materialize. Now I'm trying to rebuild

In recent years, the growth of the American market was quite substantial. At the moment I have the feeling that compared with UK or EU stocks, it's a bit overpriced.
