@jongolson first mentionned the idea of creating a community of dolphin level users. I found this idea amazing because as a community the size of the account of our friends truely matters. The bigger their account is, the more powerful their upvotes will be and our accounts will just grow much faster.
I would like to share some ideas that I had lately on this subject.
How to grow faster?
If we want to grow faster as a community, we have to make sure that the portion of the reward pool that reaches the users of the community gets bigger. We need to have more Hive Power upvoting the posts of the CTP users.
How can we reach that?
- Make sure that people use all their upvotes
- Favourise votes on people among the community
- Get more Hive Power to vote on the community
- Encourage people to power up
Some ideas to reach these goals...
Our own dlease
Some of us that rather have a lot of HP, lease it out on dlease and get around 14% interests on it. The votes of this leased HP goes out of the community and could be used differently.
What if we would have our own dlease? Let's say we create an account that pays weekly interests for delegated HP. Let's say you delegate 1000 HP to this account and in return you get a weekly payment of 2 HP (this is around 10.4% ROI).
With this account we would upvote posts only from the people of the community. The curation rewards generated like that would be used to pay the weekly paiments. The account itself wouldn't make any profit but the users would get a powerful upvote on their posts. This would allow everybody to grow quicker and all the costs generated for the leasing of the HP would remain in the community.
A major curation trail
To encourage people to use their voting power, we could create a curation trail that would vote before the big account with the delegations. Like that people could follow this curation trail and get their upvotes in before a big upvote of this account. This would increase the curation rewards of everybody on this trail. This would allow to get even bigger upvotes for the authors and it would also increase the curation rewards of everybody following the curation trail.
A ranking to encourage people
We could create a ranking with the HP of the different people within the community to see how we evolve and where we are in respect to others.
