This story had its genesis in one of the visits to Manuel Tames; this is the land of the well-known Cuban musician and composer, Reutilio Domínguez Terrero (great-uncle of my daughter Suanet), it is a town in the countryside of Cuba, located south of the Guantánamo province, it was well known for having a Sugar Mill, which we all called: "The Guantanamo clock", it was as efficient and precise as a high-end Swiss watch.
The daily sound of its whistle marked the exact time of dawn and the beginning of daily activities; it was so loud that it could be heard, practically, throughout our province.
With the beginning of the Sugar Harvest, every year, the proximity of Christmas and the arrival of the Three Wise Men was felt; the sweet smell of molasses spread to every corner of the place, it seemed that the small town had become a large beehive, overflowing with bluebell honey. With the fall of the "black snowflakes" the signs indicating the beginning of the sugar magic were completed.
In this nice place, my father and three of my paternal brothers live, there was also the house of the mother of my precious children: Suanet (@suanetmusic), known by many of you, and Jorge Alexis (
@jalex-beats) my mischievous boy.
One weekend in December 2010, as usual, we stayed at my mother-in-law's house to enjoy the wonders of the countryside. With the beginning of the week my daughter and I prepared to move to the city of Guantanamo, since Suanet studied at the Antonia Luisa Caval Vocational School of Art, specializing in flute; I worked at the Cuban Telecommunications Company S.A, known as ETECSA. At 7:00 a.m. we arrived at the bus stop, five minutes later we were already on our way to our destination.
During the trip, the air was fresh inside the vehicle, the morning was radiant and the green of the vegetation was really intense. Above the noise of the engine, the birds could be heard singing. Suanet was very happy and cheerful, she enjoyed the trip and said to me:
It seems that they planted herons
In this Cuban land
look what things happen
myths and legends
wonderful stories
In this Cuban land
look what things happen
myths and legends
wonderful stories
One beautiful morning
old Miguel is
plowing his land
with a team of oxen
Suddenly herons arrived
looking for something to eat
and they mined that field
that could not even be seen
Chorus:
Oh, oh, oh the land is celebrating
Oh, oh, oh it seems that they planted herons
Repeat Chorus:
Oh, oh, oh the land is celebrating
Oh, oh, oh it seems that they planted herons
The herons with thin legs
climbed the team of oxen
turned three times
and said: "everything is fine here"
The oxen They smiled
Miguel got excited
and sang the tune
that I bring you today
Chorus:
Oh, oh, oh the earth is celebrating
Oh, oh, oh it seems that they planted herons
Repeat Chorus:
Oh, oh, oh the earth is celebrating
Oh, oh, oh it seems that they planted herons
Guide:
They are very calm
hunting and eating bugs
Chorus:
Oh, oh, oh the earth is celebrating
Oh, oh, oh it seems that they planted herons
Repeat Chorus:
Oh, oh, oh the earth is celebrating
Oh, oh, oh it seems that they planted herons
Guide:
They are enjoying
the delicious taste of bugs
Chorus:
Oh, oh, oh the earth is celebrating
Oh, oh, oh it seems that they planted herons
Repeat Chorus:
Oh, oh, oh the earth is celebrating
Oh, oh, oh it seems that they planted herons

@jalex-beats)mi varon travieso.
