Pues aquí vamos. El primer vídeo musical es del gran Stevie Wonder. Superstition ha sido una pieza favorita para mi desde que la escuche. El ritmo y la orquestación, sobre todo en este concierto son simplemente fantásticos. En realidad puedo escuchar esta pieza el día entero. Me levanta el ánimo siempre.
Well, here we go. The first music video is by the great Stevie Wonder. Superstition has been a favorite piece for me ever since I heard it. The rhythm and orchestration, especially in this concert are just fantastic. I can actually listen to this piece all day long. It always lifts my spirits.
Las siguientes dos piezas me llevan de regreso a mi adolecencia. El clásico de Tears for Fears, Everybody Wants To Rule The World también está en mi lista de favoritas de siempre. El tema parece que nunca pasa de moda, pero no quiero entrar en política ahora. 😉 El solo de guitarra es para mi uno de los mejores. Algo siemple en su técnica, pero simplemente bello.
The next two pieces take me back to my teenage years. The Tears for Fears classic Everybody Wants To Rule The Worldis also on my all-time favorites list. The song never seems to go out of style, but I don't want to get into politics now 😉 The guitar solo is for me one of the best. Somewhat simple in its technique, but simply beautiful.
Y finalmente una pieza extremadamente significativa para mi. Por dos motivos. El primero y más obvio es el tema de la canción. En Dios Confiamos. ¡Amén! El segundo motivo es porque me trae muy buenos recuerdos de mis tiempos en la Universidad en Minnesota - aunque fue en Texas donde primero escuché de Stryper. La banda en si fue para mi algo provocante en sus atuendos y parafanelia, pero con el tiempo tuve que ceder a su música y mensaje. Esta pieza también es un clásico de ellos.
And finally but not least, an extremely significant piece for me. For two reasons. The first and most obvious is the theme of the song. In God We Trust. Amen! The second reason is that it brings back fond memories of my college days in Minnesota - although it was in Texas that I first heard of Stryper. The band itself was for me somewhat provocative in their outfits and paraphernalia, but eventually, I had to give in to their music and message. This piece is also a classic of theirs.
