I don't know about you, but it feels like we hardly move around without technology these days. We have the media in our pocket, the doc on our wrist, smart homes waiting to take orders from us, or to snitch on us, autopilots, and everything around seems to becoming smart and smarter.
I am pro technology, for anything that makes life more convenient and I'd love to live in a world where we as a species are living our lives to full potential. BUT, is it all of that possible without tech, AI and software?...
Was talking with a few friends today about robots that might take the jobs of housekeepers in the next decade or so, about tractors that can work the land fully autonomous, mobile apps eating the lunch of the classic banking services and so on...
At some point one of my friends was asking: if bots will do everything for us, what are we going to do? My sarcastic answer was: "I don't know about you guys, but I'm gonna do Hive :D". On a serious note though, I don't have an answer to that question.
It might happen that more of us around the world will do crypto, metaverse shit, blockchain gaming and whatever, while the ones not able to adapt will simply live off of a universal basic income, which in my opinion will be "basic indeed".
Automation is going to kill a lot of jobs in the next few decades and I haven't found an answer yet on what are the ones loosing these jobs going to do. Maybe 
I don't know yet if we should be fearful, or not, towards AI and the possibility for it to escape human control, but I'm taking every option into account. I see AI as a sharp edged knife, it depends a lot of its use on who's hands are holding it.
I like using all sort of tech, though, and I believe tech has the ability to level up life expectancy as well, but if and when it will do pretty much everything around here, what are we going to be left with? This is a question I still haven't found an answer for it yet.
How healthy is full automation going to be for us as a species?... Share your view in the comments section, if feel like, I would love to read how you see the world and especially our active involvement in the world when robots will do most of the mundane stuff we currently do.
