It's about five minutes since I'm sitting looking at the screen and trying to describe somehow these photos, and all I could came out with, by now, is the title, which is exactly what my mind expressed when I got out this morning and glanced over the Danube, and over the hills of our neighbors, the Serbians.
I got out at about 7:30, and in order to be in time for the therapy I have to put the pedal to the metal... Actually I am not driving, since I don't own a car, and if I would have one, I would still walk. Walking is almost a sacred activity for me... no matter how weird did that sound.
Driving though, wouldn't allow me to catch this beautiful landscape with the sun, getting over the hills, and turning the clouds into red, orange and yellow. Hence, sometimes not owning a car, and getting downtown by foot or bike, not only that it is healthier, but it's more soul enhancing as well...
Because such moments are soul moments, which the mind will never comprehend. Well, you kind of use your mind to take the smartphone out and take some shots here and there, but the soul points the direction of the camera, and guides the camera towards the perfect spot. Or should I say, perfect spots.
We quite often, nowadays, forget about feeding the soul as well, and it doesn't even need expensive stuff. It's happy with the little things, that quite often money can't buy, however even when we notice that, we still can't somehow manage to get out of the rat race.
I was talking today with my therapist and she said that she only sleeps five hours a day, because morning till afternoon she's at the hospital, then she has a private cabinet where she makes an extra buck, two kids are not easy to raise and educate either so that takes time too, and then, on top of that comes a guest house and a store. A ton of money one could, say, filled with a ton of responsibilities.
Don't take me as an example, because my life is somehow a mess, but I wouldn't run all day for all these even if I'd earn a million dollars a year. I'd rather reduce my expenses and have more time, than to get in this rat race, time that I could dedicate to walking, taking pics, and why not, visiting stuff. We're living in a materialistic world though... but still... these moments that I manage to capture in the pics are simply *splendid. Have a great day and...
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
