Don't ever underestimate the power of the masses in large numbers...
Cuz if you bother too much they will crush you and make you one with them.
A couple of days ago, I posted about the latest crypto hype, Worldcoin, a project spearheaded by Sam Altman, the co-founder of OpenAI. This ambitious project aims to scan billions of people's retinas globally, rewarding participants with their own crypto, which seems to be magically created out of thin air, and then creating digital IDs.
The Worldcoin team claims that their scanning device, Orb, doesn't store any biometric data and assures users that their personal information is safe from potential hacks. They assert that this willingly provided data will be used to create immutable digital IDs stored on the blockchain, purportedly for fighting AI impersonation. However, I, along with the respondents in my previous #askleo post, don't buy their claims and would never trust such a company to scan our eyeballs for a mere $50 worth of crypto.
Shockingly, three days into this scheme, the masses are eagerly lining up by the hundreds to have their eyeballs scanned in exchange for the promised crypto reward. It's reminiscent of the rush to get Covid vaccinations, where millions willingly participated in an experimental vaccine without anyone taking responsibility for its potential side effects. Medical companies can't be held accountable because the participants signed away their rights, taking full responsibility for the vaccination themselves.
These are the same types of people who believe fervently in the importance of voting, eagerly queue up for the latest Apple product launches, and buy into meme coins like PEPE with the hope of becoming overnight millionaires. But let's be real; millionaires aren't born out of the antics of these low IQ plebs.
However, the impact of the masses, especially those who mindlessly accept whatever the media promotes, cannot be underestimated. Their eagerness to adopt any mainstream idea gives power to the very things that may harm us, such as lockdowns and the theft of our freedoms. Without their unquestioning compliance, such measures wouldn't have taken hold unless enforced at gunpoint.
Poverty is indeed a harsh reality, and some may be tempted to trade their biometric data for a few dollars out of desperation. However, it's crucial to recognize that poverty often arises from such vulnerabilities. If the masses were more united and discerning, external forces would not have been able to subjugate them.
Instead, we find ourselves led by corrupt leaders, both elected and unelected, who dictate our lives while we passively accept their decisions. The majority doesn't question their authority nor rise against it. Personally, I would never participate in Worldcoin, even if offered $1 million for my retina scan.
I have experienced poverty firsthand, and although my earnings barely suffice, I refuse to compromise my dignity. It pains me to witness the masses' gullibility and susceptibility to manipulation. Such people are the ones who will blindly embrace digital IDs, CBDCs, social credit scores, or any other absurdity the elites may present.
As for what we should do, I'm not entirely certain. For now, I choose to ignore them and their folly. But perhaps there will come a time when we must unite, rise against oppression, and reclaim our freedom.
