After quite a nice rally that we had yesterday in the crypto markets, now it's time for all of that to cool off and some Bart heads to be painted on some coins charts. I guess we're not out of the woods yet and Bitcoin still hasn't become a safe heaven.
HIVE is on the edge of doing that(becoming a safe haven). I don't know how much you've been paying attention to its price lately, but I'd say our beloved blockchains main token is doing great for this so called bear market.
It went from as low as $0.83 to a bit over $1 in the past seven days and this day particularly, while almost the whole market is in the red, HIVE is actually doing great, but unfortunately we have a Korean pump once again.
Most of the volume, $56,484,242 for the past 24 hours comes from UpBit on the HIVE/KRW pair. Koreans seem to have developed a habit of pumping HIVE once in a while, just to dump it days afterwards and it's a bit annoying, but if you're on liquid HIVE when that occurs you can profit of it.
For someone like me living off this blogging activity I have to speculate on such price actions. I was looking back, a few days ago, on how the 2018-2019 bear market felt for me and how much I'm grateful for Hive now and for not quitting years ago when I was earning almost nothing with my blog.
I guess I had the trust and consistency to hold my afloat for that long.
We have the second black swan event in the past two years, if we could consider the war as a black swan, and it's Hive that's saving my ass once again. It is more of a safe heaven for me than Bitcoin is tbh.
It's not like we won't see HIVE under $0.5 again, as some were saying about BTC at $40,000 yesterday, but even if we go that low I'm fine with it. I'm also fine with adding a bit more to my long term portfolio this bear market.
During the previous one I had basically no strategy, I refused to see it as a bear market and I missed great opportunities that followed as of the 2020 halving. "This time is different" I believe. I'm risking more and hoping to be rewarded for that risk.
Hope that the war will be over soon, so we can "breathe once again", but it feels like the elites are so determined into continually stroking us with crises, inflation and fear. Hope you're having a great day and see you to the next post.
Thanks for attention,
Adrian
